Biography

Dr. Thangavelu Chandrasekar is a highly accomplished Consultant in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, with over 16 years of expertise in renal care, dialysis management, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) treatment. He has extensive experience in nephrology practice, patient care, and medical education, having served as a Senior Consultant at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool, UK (2009-2019). Dr. Chandrasekar holds multiple prestigious qualifications, including FRCP (London) in General Medicine (2018) and MRCP (Nephrology) from the Royal College of Physicians, UK (2018). He also earned his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Nephrology and Internal Medicine (2009) from Mersey Deanery, PMETB, UK, further strengthening his expertise in advanced renal care. His academic journey began with an MD in General Medicine (1998) and an MBBS (1994) from Madras Medical College, India. With strong clinical expertise in nephrology, Dr. Chandrasekar specializes in haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, transplant nephrology, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte disorders.
